TEACHING AND LEARNING COORDINATOR

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We have come to the end of Term1 and I would like to share important information that we need to follow up in the upcoming days.

School Reports

School reports will be completed in the last week and parents will be informed about it. Reports will be available to all parents in the digital form through SEQTA. Please ensure that you have access to SEQTA, if not, please contact our school office.

NAPLAN

The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an annual national assessment for all students in Years 3, 5, 7, and 9. All students in these year levels are expected to participate in tests in reading, writing, language conventions (spelling, grammar and punctuation) and numeracy.

NAPLAN online tests commence on the 11th May and end on the 21st May. Parent information was sent home with Year 3 and 5 students. More information about NAPLAN can be found at -https://nap.edu.au.

CSEF Forms

The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) provides payments for eligible students to attend activities like school camps or trips, school-organised sport programs, excursions and incursions.

This funding will help ensure students from lower-income families are able to participate in camps, sports and excursions each year. Sirius College has mailed CSEF forms to all families but only a few families have filled these in and returned them to the school office.

Families holding a valid means-tested concession card or temporary foster parents are eligible to apply. Families can list more than one student in the one application form if they are attending the same school. If you are eligible, please fill out the form and send it to our office.

Thank you for your ongoing help and support. Enjoy your school break!
